Personal Training School Financial Aid

The American Academy of Personal Training (AAPT) helps students secure the financial assistance they need to complete their personal training education.

It’s difficult enough to succeed in your personal training studies without the added stress of financial difficulties. AAPT makes it easy to find and apply for assistance. If you’re eligible for federal student aid, you can apply for FAFSA through the U.S. Department of Education. Follow the links and read the instructions below to get the process started. How To Apply

1. Click here to make sure you are eligible for Federal Student Aid

2. Fill out the free Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application here:

  • Enter school code: G42076
  • Use “IRS Data Retrieval Tool” to import your tax information
  • Enter the AAPT New York
    School address:

  • Select “Certificate/Diploma Program less than two years” proof of foreign education with English translation and equivalency report
  • Use the NYC Net Price Calculator to see the approximate cost of what a student at American Academy of Personal Training might expect to pay to attend our NYC program. This is not an application for financial aid and will only give an estimate of aid you might be eligible to receive. The calculator is for your personal use only and your information will not be stored or be accessible by AAPT.
  • Use the Boston Net Price Calculator to see the approximate costs associated with being a student attending the American Academy of Personal Training in Boston. This is not an application for financial aid and will only give an estimate of aid you might be eligible to receive. The calculator is for your personal use only and your information will not be stored or be accessible by AAPT.

3. Sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN) here:

  • Use your PIN to sign in
  • Complete entrance counseling
  • Select “Complete Master
    Promissory Note”
  • For Type of Aid, select “Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans”

  • Be sure to enter contact information
    for two references

4. Contact us!

Your FAFSA application takes 2-3 days to process. Once received, we will determine if there is anything further to submit or correct. Occasionally, applicants are selected for a process called verification, and additional documents are required.
